For someone like me with a fairly cut and dry style
of drawing, expressive drawing classes really suck. I absolutely
hated messy charcoal, and I never really could relate to much
of what was going on. Late in the semester, when the teacher said
we could add tempera paint, I thought that I could add more detail
with the wet media. As it turns out, I was wrong, but this one
came out ok. While the lionfish is highly stylized and chaotic,
it is readily recognizable, and is somewhat interesting. This
was one of the only drawings from that class I care for much,
and it only took about 15 minutes to create.
